Call for AACG Clinical Cases
Dear AACG Members
Kia ora koutou, we look forward to welcoming you to Christchurch for the HGSA AACG SIG Day on the 1st of August 2026.
THIS IS A CALL TO SUBMIT CLINICAL CASES FOR THE AACG SIG DAY ON Saturday 1st August 2026.
Please email slides along with title, your name/title and the service you are attached to Jessica.Hayden-Clarke@cdhb.health.nz by the 24th of July 2026. Please email your PowerPoint slides (preferably) at the same time. Please mindful of the file size, try and keep the size small enough to send by email and not need to download from a file share service. Five minutes per case please.
You need to be registered to attend; in-person or virtual registration is available. Registration includes morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for on-site participants.
You are welcome to submit one or two cases. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so later submissions may miss out. For inspiration, please consider cases where a clinical diagnosis was obvious in retrospect following genetic testing, but all cases will be welcomed.
The day will include a presentation by our international guest Dr Carmencita Padilla (titled Navigating Rare Diseases in Low-Resource Settings), an invited presentation by Dr Bert de Vries (titled The Value of Phenotyping in the Era of Genomics) and the AACG business meeting after lunch. Registration will be available from 7.30 am, and finish around 4.30pm. The SIG Day will start at 9.00am and finish at approximately 5.00pm
We will not be providing any printed booklet of cases but will circulate details along with a zoom link for the Saturday sessions for virtual registrants via the conference app.
The AACG dinner is scheduled for 7pm at Bar Franco 7pm, The Crossing, 166 Cashel Street, Christchurch Central City (make sure you are registered).
Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions.
With kind regards
Dr Jessica Haydon-Clarke and Professor Stephen Robertson
