At the HGSA Annual General Meeting held on 19th July 2023, members overwhelmingly backed a motion for HGSA to pledge formal support the ‘YES’ campaign to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through a First Nations Voice to Parliament enshrined in the Australian Constitution.  HGSA joins many other medical and scientific organisations in supporting the Yes campaign.
