Human Genetics Society of Australasia NSW/ACT 2026 Q3 Branch Grants

HGSA invites financial members of the HGSA NSW/ACT Branch to apply for Branch Grants. These grants support the provision of educational, networking, or other activities to benefit the wider branch membership.

The grants do not support activities that benefit sole individuals, such as conference registration or attendance at workshops. Funds cannot be used for speaker honorarium.

Funding is provided on an open, competitive basis.

Applicants will have four weeks to complete and submit their applications. The Branch Executives will have two weeks to assess applications.

The NSW/ACT Branch Membership funds the Grants from a maximum quarterly pool of $3,000. The final amount will be decided at the Branch Executive’s discretion, depending on the overall quantity and quality of applications received. The grants aim to:

• Encourage activities that disseminate knowledge in human genetics.
• Support the professional development of the HGSA membership.
• Encourage student and early-career participation.
• Support activities that are available to regional & remote branch members.
