With a history going back to 1899, this elite global meeting is held once every five years. Regularly referred to as the Olympics for the Genetics community this is an important opportunity for your work to be showcased to the best geneticists in the world.

For your abstract to be considered for inclusion in the program, all authors must register and pay for their registration to the Congress by 31 January 2023. View the favourable registration refund terms, in the event you wish to decline a subsequent offer.

Plenary Addresses: There will be nine plenary addresses each presented by a global leader in their respective field, including the recipient(s) of the prestigious Gruber Prize in Genetics.
Symposia: The Congress will have six broad themes covering the breadth of Genetics and Genomics in humans, animals, plants, fungi and microbes and include:
• Genetics and Human Health
• Genomics and Genomic Technologies
• Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Genetics
• Agriculture and Plant Genetics
• Genetics and the Environment
• Evolutionary Genetics.
Each of the broad themes will have nine symposia that will cover specific aspects of the theme which you can view here. There will be two invited presentations in each symposium with up to four other speakers selected based on abstract submissions. Visit the website to view the current list of invited speakers.
Poster Presentations are an integral element of the Congress program and will be linked to the themes and symposia. There will be a generous amount of time set aside for poster presentations and viewing in the Exhibition area.
